Canon India, a leading digital imaging solutions company, today announced the launch of the new imagePROGRAF TM Series, a range of large-format printers and multifunction printers (MFPs). Built to meet the growing demand for high-precision large-format printing and scanning across India’s engineering, design, photo studio, retail and education sectors, the new series is engineered to address customer needs for sharp print quality, integrated scanning capabilities, and space-efficient design within compact professional environments in India.
The series comprises six large-format printers, the TM-5500, TM-5600, TM-5510 (Successor to the widely adopted TM-5250, flagship choice among Jobbers, photo studios, ECMs etc.), TM-5515, TM-5610 and TM-5615, and two multifunction printer (MFP) models, the TM-5610M (36-inch) and TM-5510M (24-inch). The TM-5610M and TM-5510M mark the first MFP models in the series and are equipped with built-in large-format scanners. Utilising 5-colour pigment ink, the new imagePROGRAF TM Series models combine a compact flat-top design with intuitive front-access operation.
The addition of new MFP models with built-in large-format scanners expands the TM Series’ capabilities to support a broader range of printing and scanning needs, from digitising and copying architectural and design drawings to reproducing posters, photo prints, and signage for retail, restaurants and educational institutions. The new TM Series also introduces a new matte black pigment ink that produces fast, high-quality drawings with sharp lines and clear text.

The TM Series’ First MFP Models with a Built-In Large-Format Scanner
The imagePROGRAF TM-5610M and TM-5510M integrate printing and large format scanning while remaining comparable in size to printer-only models1, making them compact and space-saving — a key consideration for India’s often space-constrained professional environments. With the flat-top design, users can place originals directly on top of the MFP models for convenient copying and scanning.
The new built-in scanner uses advanced sensor compensation technology to consistently deliver high image quality and stable colour accuracy. By utilising sensors with light sources positioned on both sides, the scanner reduces shadows, wrinkles and creases in original documents, enhancing scan quality. The preset function on the touch screen panel allows users to select the suitable scan mode for different document types, such as CAD drawings, blueprint drawings and maps, ensuring optimal scan quality for each application. With a 5-inch touch screen panel and a user interface similar to Canon’s other multifunction devices, the TM Series MFPs offer intuitive operation and customisable menu screens to suit business needs.
Crisp Drawing Reproduction and Vibrant Poster Output
The new range includes a matte black pigment ink with enhanced black density for deeper blacks, supporting high-speed printing of drawings with sharp lines and clear, precise text. For poster printing, a new colour mapping technology maximises colour performance, achieving vivid colour reproduction and high-quality prints even on plain paper.
Use of Recycled Materials
In line with Canon’s sustainability commitments, parts of the main printer body are made with approximately 5% recycled iron and 25% recycled plastic2.
