When Asus ZenFone 3 Max was launched it was a silent entry but created a strong impact among the smartphone lovers. The Indian smartphone consumer is graduating from one level to another. Specially if one can see the overall market scenario things have changed from last one year or so. Apart from the fact that 4G is becoming the preferred network, the smartphone users are now actually using applications and making a great use of the device unlike what it use to be one or two years ago.
Now, coming onto the Asus ZenFone3 Max, if we look at three important aspects of any smartphone such as design, performance and durability this phone scored high. The price factor was slightly on the upper side, but even then people have accepted the phone because of the features and performance.
This latest addition to the ZenFone 3 series, Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 sports a 2.5D contured Glass in a new full-metal, aluminum alloy-body with diamond cut chamfered edges, that houses its high definition 5.5 inch FHD IPS display. The display is surrounded by a slim, 2.25 mm bezel that gives it a high 73% screen to body ratio – meaning that the bezel takes up only a quarter of its front facing surface area, giving users as large a screen for as compact a phone size as possible. Zenfone 3 Max will also come with a class leading high capacity 3GB RAM, 32 GB Storage that is further 128GB expandable with Micro SD card.
ReviewStreet did an in-depth review of this device by using the phone for more than a month. And here are some key findings:
Delightful Camera
Camera is one of the prime attractions for this smartphone. For Photographer enthusiasts this is an amazing phone. The Zenfone 3 Max features 16MP rear camera with 0.03 seconds ultra-fast Tri-tech Auto-focus technology (2nd Generation Laser AF, Phase detection AF, and Continous AF). The device supports full-HD recording along with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) for stable videos. The device is an excellent low-light performer with its f/2.0 aperture value. At the front the device sports an 8MP Camera that supports modes like the Beautification modes and can shoot videos in Full, HD resolution.

Style Quotient
While style preferences are highly personal, but we at ReviewStreet found this phone very stylish and trendy. The aluminum alloy body which is finished with a finely sandblasted matte surface and features gently rounded corners and edges, gives a stylish look. The overall design of the phone gives it a sophisticated look. This premium metal construction not only makes the phone look amazing. On style we would like to give this phone 9.5 out of 10.
Performance
During our review period, we never experienced or felt any glitch. For us, performance experience is something which can give a flawless experience while using the phone. Be it gaming, multi tasking on internet, this phone performed greatly. However, the phone managed to score 9 out of 10 in our parameter of performance.
Battery Performance
This phone comes with a magnificent 4100mAh battery. While doing the review of this unit, we charged this phone once in two days or three days sometimes. Obviously, this was the battery performance when the phone was not on voice based usage. But the batter power is certainly very impressive. Hence we would like to give it 9 out of 10.
Sensor Locking
The device also features a super fast and responsive rear finger print sensor that unlocks the smartphone in 0.3 seconds. It supports recognition of up to 5 fingers and also detects fingerprints in full 360 Degree. The finger print sensor also integrates camera with which you can double click to initiate the camera and single tap to take a picture.
Finger sensor capability is always such a feature which may not attract everyone, only those who are use to of using this feature can experience this feature in a big way. So we would like to give 8.5 out of 10.
Key Findings on exclusiveness
The ZenFone 3 Max is equipped with a powerful Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor, paired with an Adreno 505 graphics processing unit that ensures excellent system responsiveness and the ability to run even graphically demanding games with relative ease. It also features an LTE Category 4 radio sub-system for fastest mobile-download speeds up to 150 Mbps.
At only 175 grams and 8.3 mm thick, it is one of the lightest and sleekest smartphones with a battery that is 4100 mAh and above Upto 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage with 128GB Expandable Storage.
In conclusion, we would like to call Asus Zenfone 3 Max as and All Rounder Smartphone and in terms of scoring we would like to give 9 out of 10. A value buy for consumers who are looking for a complete and trendy smartphone. Our review could be incomplete if we do not mention that this phone could bring delight on the faces of photographers or photo enthusiasts who gets amazed from iPhone’s photography, well, for them Asus Zenfone is an opportunity to experience great quality of photography in a budgeted price.
