Binance has announced new features for Binance Junior following its successful launch in December 2025. These updates are designed to make saving and learning about cryptocurrency more fun and accessible for families. Built for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17, Binance Junior already offers a secure, parent-managed environment that helps build healthy saving habits and basic financial knowledge from an early age.
The latest upgrades add a Red Packet gifting option, Merchant Pay functionality, and direct in-app access to the educational ABCs of Crypto eBook. Together, these features create a more engaging and interactive way for families to explore digital assets.
Binance Junior allows parents to guide their children safely through the world of digital finance. Parents keep full control of the account, including the ability to turn specific features on or off and review all activity through a simple dashboard. With the new updates, children—only with parental permission—can receive crypto gifts, make approved payments, and read educational material that explains crypto concepts in a clear and friendly way.
Parents can now also allow transfers from adult Binance accounts to Junior accounts. This includes Red Packet gifts and regular peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers, enabling relatives and family friends to send crypto to children. For safety, total yearly receipts are limited to USD 12,000 across both transfers and Red Packets. Once this limit is reached, the Junior account will stop accepting further crypto until the next cycle. Parents can enable or disable these options at any time based on their preferences.
The new Merchant Pay feature lets Junior users make payments at selected stores, while blocking restricted categories such as gambling and tobacco. This helps children learn responsible spending and saving in a protected setting.
These updates arrive ahead of Ramadan and Lunar New Year, encouraging families to begin new traditions by sharing Red Packet crypto gifts as a modern, digital way to send good wishes. Children receive instant alerts and wallet credits when gifts arrive, making the experience simple and enjoyable.
Binance Junior is intended to be more than just a savings tool. Its goal is to promote financial education across generations. The “ABCs of Crypto” book is now fully built into the app in a mobile-friendly format, helping parents and children learn together. The illustrated guide explains complex crypto topics in easy language, building interest and confidence in young users.
Commenting on the update, Yi He, co-CEO of Binance, said that Binance Junior is a family-oriented platform that allows children to manage their allowance using saving and payment features. By encouraging good money habits early, the company hopes to help families create a strong financial foundation for the future.
She added that many of the new tools were developed based on community feedback and that more updates are planned. Binance’s aim is to make learning about crypto safer and more enjoyable for families, preparing children for a future in which digital finance will play an important role.
In the long term, Binance sees Binance Junior as a platform that grows with its users, supporting its wider mission of preparing the next generation for a digitally driven financial world.
