Facebook-owned world’s leading messenger application – WhatsApp has made some major changes in it’s delete function. Many times you might have sent a message on Whatsapp by mistake to unintended persons or even the wrong kind of message that you later regretted.
In these times when everything around you is happening at lightning-fast pace, mistakes are certain to happen. These can be costly in terms of personal and professional terms. Fixing those mistakes though was not possible, or at least the time frame was not suitable. Till now! Well know that the popular app has rolled out the perfect solution for you.
The Facebook-owned app has changed the way its message deletion feature works. Originally introduced in October, the feature only allowed you to delete messages up to seven minutes after you sent them. The latest version of WhatsApp extends that time limit significantly to an hour, eight minutes, and 16 seconds. However, WhatsApp support pages don’t provide any additional info on the time limit. Now you have far longer time to delete messages sent by mistake, or can wipe out entire conversations from a friend, boss or a kin’s phone. This additional time could help facilitate conversations on WhatasApp.
WhatsApp now has 1.5 billion monthly active users, becoming the world’s biggest messaging app. The messaging service is used to send approximately 60 billion messages every single day. On New Year’s Eve, WhatsApp set a new record with 75 billion messages and that number eclipses any other day in its history with the previous record of 65 million on New Year’s Eve 2016. WhatsApp is pushing new features and updates in a bid to keep its army of followers happy.
