In the coming future, internet is going to be cheap. The competition in market will lead to cheap Internet. Jio, Airtel, Vodafone and many telecom operators are trying to attract customers with different schemes.
If we are talking about Internet, then it is a must that we should mention Jio, which has provided Internet and calling for free almost for a year. And now, they have come up with something different which they claim will provide Internet at every household, with minimum charges. Jio has started a Jio fibre broadband on pilot mode in cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara and the service will be launched in other cities in a phased manner.
According to reports, the home broadband service is expected to be operational in 100 cities and offer 100GB of data at the price of Rs 500. With such a pricing, Jio fiber, in all likelihood, will fuel another price war in the telecom industry where the entry of Jio 4G services has already put off incumbent players and compelled them to re-plan strategies in order to keep customers from deflecting.
