Today the mobile market have witnessed one of the greatest come backs. HMD Global has launched all new Nokia smartphones for the Indian market.
This is a transformational come back from Nokia as an Android powered device. Nokia, couple of months back showcased three models Nokia 3, 5, 6 at MWC and since then Indian mobile users were eagerly waiting to hold these handsets in their hands. Now, these three will now be available for purchase online as well as through offline retail stores.
While we already know about the features and specifications, the price and availability is something that everybody has been waiting for. Well, the Nokia 3 has been priced at Rs 9,499, the Nokia 5 at Rs 12,899 while the Nokia 6 is priced Rs 14,999. This is in line with leaked pricing we saw two days back. The handsets will be available on all offline stores as well online e-commerce platforms like Amazon India and Flipkart.
The Nokia 3 will be available from 16 June online and offline and the Nokia 5 can be pre-ordered from 7 July onwards but will only be available at offline retailers. The Nokia 6 will be an Amazon exclusive. You can register for the purchase of a Nokia 6 from 14 July onwards.
The Nokia 3 is powered by a quad-core Mediatek 6737 chipset clocked at 1.3 GHz along with 2 GB RAM. The smartphone will pack a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with HD (1280×720) resolution. The screen will be 2.5D curved gorilla glass along with 450 nits of brightness. The smartphone comes with 16 GB internal storage along with support up to 128 GB microSD cards. An 8 MP camera module with f/2 aperture and LED flash on the back along with an 8 MP camera module with a similar f/2 aperture on the front. The front camera will use the display as the flash along with a wide angle covering 84-degree according to the company. The smartphone will be available in four colors – Matte Black, Silver White, Tempered Blue and Copper White.
The Nokia 5 features a 5.2-inch IPS display with HD resolution (1280×720) and 2.5D glass. The screen is claimed to have a brightness of 500 nits. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC and 2 GB of RAM. Internal storage is 16 GB but microSD cards up to 128 GB in size are supported. The cameras include a 13 MP f/2.0 rear unit and an 8 MP f/2.0 front with 84-degree FoV. The Nokia 5 will be offered in four colours – Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper.
As additional offers, Vodafone consumers will get 5 GB data per month at Rs 149 per month for 3 months on their Nokia 3 and Nokia 5. Consumers will also get Rs 2500 off (Rs 1800 on hotels and Rs 700 off on domestic flights) on Makemytrip.com
The Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass atop it. The phone sports an aluminium unibody design. It is powered through by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC with X6 LTE modem. In terms of memory, you get 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. This storage can be further expanded using a microSD card. The phone runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS. As for the cameras, there is a 16 MP primary camera on the phone with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera of the phone comes with phase-detect AF and a 3,000 mAh battery. This one will also be available in the same colors as the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 including Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper.
The new Nokia 6 will be available with a bunch of offers. Vodafone consumers will get 10 GB data per month Rs 249 per month for 5 months on their Nokia 6.
