EKA Mobility, a leading electric vehicle and technology company, has partnered with GreenCell Mobility to secure a Letter of Award (LOA) to supply and deploy 915 electric buses in Hyderabad.
The companies will execute the project under the Government of India’s CESL-led PM E-DRIVE (Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement) scheme.
As part of the rollout, they will introduce 100 nine-meter (9m) buses and 815 twelve-meter (12m) standard floor non-AC electric buses to address diverse urban transit needs. These fully electric, zero-emission buses deliver efficient, reliable, and passenger-friendly city operations.
This LOA builds on EKA Mobility’s earlier wins under CESL’s PM E-Bus Seva initiative, where the company deployed electric buses across Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Puducherry, and Meghalaya.
Mr. Rohit Srivastava, Business Head and Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility, said, “This LOA for 915 electric buses reflects strong confidence in our technology and execution capabilities. We are proud to support Hyderabad’s transition toward cleaner and smarter urban mobility in line with the Government of India’s PM E-DRIVE vision.”
The Government of India launched the PM E-DRIVE scheme to accelerate electric vehicle adoption, strengthen domestic manufacturing, and reduce urban pollution.
