Garuda Aerospace Ltd., one of India’s fastest-growing drone technology and training companies, has secured a formal work contract from Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL). REIL is a “Mini Ratna” Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India.
Under this agreement, Garuda Aerospace will establish and operate a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)-authorized Remote Pilot Training Organization (RPTO) centre at REIL’s campus in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
DGCA-Authorized Training with Long-Term Vision
The RPTO centre will operate under a 10-year DGCA authorization, valid until March 2036. It will train drone pilots in RotorCraft RPAS small category operations. The program will cover both day and night Visual Line of Sight (VLOS) missions.
Flight training will take place at Arya College of Engineering and IT in Kukas, Jaipur. Ground training sessions will be conducted at REIL House in Mansarovar.
Leadership Perspective
“This partnership with REIL is a proud milestone for our team. We have trained over 2,500 certified drone pilots across India, including MS Dhoni. We understand what it takes to build a world-class RPTO centre. Our mission is to take India to the skies, and Jaipur marks our next step,” said Dr. Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Whole-time Director and CEO of Garuda Aerospace Ltd.
End-to-End Execution by Garuda Aerospace
Garuda Aerospace will manage the complete setup of the RPTO centre. This includes building advanced training infrastructure, deploying DGCA-approved drones manufactured by the company, and delivering structured training programs aligned with DGCA guidelines.
The centre will cater to industrial, commercial, and institutional clients across Rajasthan and other regions.
Proven Track Record in Drone Training
Garuda Aerospace’s selection by REIL highlights its strong reputation as a DGCA-authorized drone training provider. The company has already certified more than 2,500 remote pilots across India. These include students, farmers, defence personnel, and public figures.
Among its notable trainees is MS Dhoni, former captain of the Indian cricket team. He earned his DGCA-certified remote pilot license through Garuda Aerospace, bringing national attention to India’s drone training ecosystem.
Expanding Government Partnerships
This REIL contract strengthens Garuda Aerospace’s portfolio of government collaborations. The company has previously partnered with National Rural and Farm Mechanization Training & Technology Institute and Central Research Farms and Mechanization Training & Technology Institute.
These initiatives have supported large-scale DGCA-certified drone training, particularly in agriculture and rural development sectors.
Launch Timeline
The Jaipur RPTO centre is expected to become operational in the coming months. Training programs will be open to candidates from Rajasthan and across India.
All activities will follow DGCA-approved training and operational guidelines.
