Reaffirming its position as India’s leading trade fair for LED and smart lighting technologies, the onset of 30th edition of LED Expo New Delhi 2025 is set to take place at Yashobhoomi (IICC), New Delhi, from 27 – 29 November 2025. This illumination galore will feature over 250+ exhibitors, including 75 first-time participants. In addition, the three-day expo will showcase more than 6,000 products and 2,000 brands.
Presenting the next stride of industry innovations, participating companies will feature cutting-edge innovations in LED products, components and applications that are driving the country’s transition towards sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure. Spanning across 14,000 sqm, the expo will attract industry leaders, architects, interior designers, real estate developers, lighting and design consultants, and more, to explore, source and engage in quality discussions on innovations in lighting.
Interestingly, lighting in India accounts for roughly 15% of national electricity consumption. According to Mordor Intelligence, the Indian LED lighting market size is estimated to be USD 11.56 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 16.63 billion by 2030. LED lighting is no longer just an area of interest for private industry, but the government also resonates with this development. In September 2025, the government reopened the application window for the PLI scheme for white goods, including ACs and LED lights. This extension, part of the fourth round, comes in response to strong industry interest and aims to boost domestic manufacturing and component localisation. It gives manufacturers additional time to participate and benefit from the incentives designed to boost domestic production.
The legacy of LED Expo continues to shine brighter each year, with exhibitors showcasing innovative solutions shaped by their deep industry expertise. Many of these exhibitors have grown alongside the expo, contributing significantly to government and private projects that are driving India’s lighting quotient. Some notable projects, such as the recent Kumbh Mela, World Trade Centre in Delhi, highways and street lighting. The rising demand for LEDs in construction and real estate, from landscape and façade beautification to ambient lighting in retail environments, reflects this growth. In addition, expanding infrastructure projects such as highways, airports, malls, commercial complexes and even underwater installations are creating new avenues for LED adoption. Complementing these trends, the market for essential components like lenses and reflectors is also flourishing, while LEDs are reaching diverse sectors including automotive, marine and defence applications.
With ardent support from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), LED Expo New Delhi 2025 will feature a dedicated MSME Pavilion showcasing 40+ Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) presenting their latest lighting products and innovations. This marks the third consecutive occasion of the Ministry’s support to the industry, underscoring its commitment to fostering indigenous growth. The strong participation highlights the immense potential of India’s MSME sector to expand across new categories, drive self-reliance and strengthen the country’s position on the global map.
Reiterating that the LED lighting is shifting gears, Mr Raj Manek, Executive Director & Board Member, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd, expressed: “The LED lighting industry in India has demonstrated a very positive trend over the years with rising application areas. The expo houses an opportunity for industry to build strong connections, learn about how homegrown innovators are responding to the challenges and are diversifying successfully to grow and develop solutions domestically. Even the government is backing the industry with its schemes, such as the PLI scheme for white goods. The time is ripe for the LED lighting industry as the expo has experienced growth in decorative lighting, smart lighting, solar lights and electrical products. LED lighting has evolved from simple illumination to defining the ambience and aesthetics of modern spaces.”
The show has been a testimony of international participation and their interest in the fast-growing Indian market. The 30th edition will attract brands from China, UAE, Germany, Hong Kong and South Korea. Together, they will unveil over 60 new products, reinforcing that lighting adds visibility and builds identity, granting spatial experience.
