In a significant move to democratize access to artificial intelligence, this collaboration will integrate the Sarvam Personal Assistant across Nokia feature phones to HMD Phones bringing advanced AI capabilities to millions of users across India.
A key highlight of the summit was the live technology demonstration of Sarvam on an HMD feature phone, witnessed by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The demonstration showcased real-time speech recognition, translation, and text-to-speech capabilities across 10 Indian languages – all functioning seamlessly without internet dependency. The powerful on-device AI experience underscored India’s growing leadership in building inclusive, accessible, and sovereign AI technologies.
